HERITAGE DAYS ... July 30, 2016


FUNDY HALL
10am to 12 noon: Fried bread dough !!
12 to 4pm: Canteen Open
3pm: Cake and celebrations with the Marquis of Lorne and Princess Louisa.
Come out and get together with old friends and make new ones!


BLESSING OF THE FLEET

Sun., July 31 at 10:30 Port Lorne “Blessing of the Fleet” Service led by Rev. Randy Legassie of Port Lorne Baptist Church.  The service will be held on the back lawn of the home of Bill and Marilynn Linley, 652 Port Lorne Road overlooking the harbour and the fishing boats.  Immediately following, bring your favourite salad or finger food and enjoy a potluck barbeque hosted by Marilynn and Bill.  All are welcome to attend this special Heritage Day service in recognition of all those who venture on the sea to make a living.    Bring a lawn chair if you can :-)


 

Lunch & Learn - Wednesday, July 15 at 12 noon at Port Lorne's Fundy Hall, 557 Port Lorne Road.  Bring a plate of sandwiches, sweets, or fruits/veggies and join us for lunch. Afterwards, Danny Phinney will present on the Annapolis County Trails Society (ACTS) and the trail (the former Dominion Atlantic Rail line), and the bigger picture of rails to trails in Annapolis County for recreation and economic spin offs. (Note: Our hall now has running water and a washroom!)
 
Thurs., July 16 - 7 pm - Music Jam at Port Lorne's Fundy Hall, 557 Port Lorne Road, then the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month thereafter. $2. donation. Lunch is included.  Info: Raymond or Nora 902-665-2208.
 
Saturday, July 25th - 4:30-6:00 pm - The Port Lorne Volunteer Department Auxiliary's "Strawberry Supper" features ham with scalloped potatoes, baked beans, strawberry shortcake and tea /coffee.  Free will offering.  Come and see all of your friends and enjoy a delicious supper.
